Privacy policy
The short version: children do not have accounts on Clarendium and we never ask for a child’s name, email, photo or school. A child’s progress is saved only in the browser on your device. The only personal data we keep is a parent’s email address, and only if a parent gives it to us on the waitlist or the contact form.

What do we collect?
| What | Where it is kept | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Practice progress, the chosen year or grade and region | Only in your browser’s local storage on this device. It is never sent to us. | So the game remembers where your child got to. |
| Parent waitlist: email, the plan and billing period you looked at, your region | Our database on Cloudflare. | To email you once when memberships open, and to keep a founding family place. |
| Contact form: email, topic and your message | Our database on Cloudflare. | To reply to you. |
| How you found us: campaign tags (utm_*), the referring website’s name and the first page you landed on | Your browser’s local storage; sent to us only together with a form you submit. | To know which links and articles bring parents to the site. |
| Usage statistics: pages viewed, device type, approximate country | Google Analytics 4. | To see which pages are useful and where the site breaks. |
We do not show adverts, we do not sell or share personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
How do we protect children’s privacy?
Clarendium is made for children aged 5–11, so it is built to the stricter rules for children’s services: the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK Information Commissioner’s Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children’s Code).
- No child accounts, no chat, no messaging between players and nothing a child can post.
- Forms ask for a parent or guardian’s email, never a child’s.
- No adverts, no in-game purchases and no third-party advertising trackers.
- If you think a child has sent us personal information, for example through the contact form, tell us and we will delete it.
Does Clarendium use cookies?
Clarendium itself sets no cookies; it uses your browser’s local storage for game progress and settings. Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies to count visits. Google Analytics is being replaced with a cookie-free statistics tool; this page will be updated when it is.
How long do we keep it?
- Waitlist emails: until memberships open and we have written to you, or until you ask us to remove you.
- Contact messages: for up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
- Progress on your device: until you clear it in settings or clear your browser’s site data.
Who processes the data?
Clarendium is run by the Clarendium team, which is responsible for the data described here.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the database that holds waitlist and contact entries.
- Google provides Google Analytics 4 usage statistics.
No one else receives personal data from us.
How do I see, change or delete my data?
Use the contact form with the same email address and tell us what you would like: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. Parents in the UK and EU have these rights under the UK GDPR and GDPR; parents in the US have them under COPPA and state privacy laws. We will act on a request within 30 days. Game progress never reaches us, so you can delete it yourself on the device.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top will change and, if you are on the waitlist, we will tell you by email.
